The RCSI Fellows & Members Conferring Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 9 July 2019 in RCSI.

The Fellows & Members Conferring Ceremony includes the conferment of:

  • Fellowship and Membership (in Surgery), including Ad Eundem
  • Diploma in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
  • Fellowship of the Faculties of Dentistry, Nursing & Midwifery, Radiology and Sports and Exercise Medicine (including Ad Eundem)
  • Membership of the Faculties of Dentistry and Sports and Exercise Medicine
  • Faculty of Dentistry Diploma of Primary Care Dentistry

Schedule

15:30 Registration and gown collection College Hall
15.30 – 16.15 Conferring photographs for candidates TR 1, 2, 3
17.00 Conferring Ceremony Exam Hall
18.30/18.40 (approx.) Conferring reception, photographs and gown returns College Hall and Boardroom

Academic dress

A gown will be provided for you for the conferring ceremony. Please ensure you clearly state the award in which you are receiving when collecting your gown to ensure you receive the correct gown for the ceremony.

Please ensure you return your gown following the ceremony. 

Guest tickets

Each graduand will receive two guest tickets for the conferring ceremony.

If you wish to be included on a waiting list for extra tickets, please email conferrings@rcsi.ie

Please note: extra tickets are subject to availability and confirmation will not be available until the final attendance list is received.

Candidates will receive a conferring programme at registration, the guest tickets will be located in your conferring programme.

Visa letters

If you are a Fellowship & Membership in Surgery candidates and require a visa letter for travel, please email the Fellows & Members Office at fellows@rcsi.ie.

Order of proceedings

Graduands are invited to register 1 hour 30 minutes prior to their conferring ceremony.

At registration graduands will be provided with a seat number which signifies the order in which they will be called to the platform to receive their parchments. It is extremely important that graduands sit in the correct allocated seat to ensure they receive the correct parchment.

Graduands and guests are asked to take their seats no later than 30 minutes prior to the ceremony commences.

The ceremony will be live streamed to this webpage at 5pm (GMT) on 9 July. Please inform family and friends and ask them to visit this page.
