International expert faculty

Dr Siobhán McCarthy is the programme director and lecturer of the MSc Quality and Safety in Healthcare Management at RCSI. Her research interests are in how well institutions and teams learn, engage in quality improvement and manage their capacity. Drawing on implementation science and behaviour change theory, Siobhan’s research work involves the design and measurement of quality and safety interventions in a manner that supports effective uptake and use of patient safety practices (PSPs). Siobhan has a track record of collaborative working with quality and safety stakeholders in Ireland and internationally.
