The organisation of the Alumni Gathering is of utmost importance to the RCSI Alumni team and the Association of Medical and Dental Graduates. However, we remain mindful of the potentially disruptive impact of COVID-19 and the evolving nature of variants. We have structured registration and the overall programme to minimise the potential for disappointment as a result of unforeseen developments.
At the moment, we are delighted that we have an optimum capacity of 600 attendees. 200 places are reserved for alumni who graduated between 1950 and 1979 with a maximum of one guest per attendee. 200 places are reserved for alumni who graduated between 1980 and 1999 with a maximum of one guest per attendee. A final 200 places are reserved for alumni who graduated between 2000 and 2017 with a maximum of one guest per attendee. Please note, guest maximums do not apply to tours or the family-friendly activities.
Places will be granted on a first come, first served basis. However, once capacity of 600 attendees is reached, we will have a waiting list in operation and strongly urge Alumni to avail of the waiting list. This is particularly important as we reserve the right to increase capacity at a later date.
You will understand that we reserve the right to amend the event format and programme at a later date in light of public health regulations or recommendations.
The Alumni Gathering will take place from the 18-20 August 2022.
We made the decision to change the dates as a result of feedback from RCSI Alumni, who were finding it difficult to find accommodation due to another large event taking place in Dublin on 26 August. We apologise sincerely for the change and any disruption caused as a result. By making the change now we hope to ensure that it will be easier and less expensive for alumni seeking to return and stay in Dublin for the Alumni Gathering 2022.
Those due to have their reunions in 2020,2021 and 2022 include the following class years: 1960, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017.
Spouses/partners are most welcome to all events. We simply ask that you are mindful that all events have a limited capacity, and that you let us know in advance if you or your spouse/partner are no longer able to attend.
Young children are welcome to attend any of the marked family-friendly events. However, we cannot permit children to attend dinners.

We have not organised class dinners this year. This is due to the number of classes invited back for the Gathering, as the RCSI Alumni team do not have the capacity to organise class dinners for this amount of people. While the team can provide you with a list of suitable venues, it is up to class ambassadors to organise.
At the gala dinners, you will be sat at free seating tables with your class.
You will be/have been asked when registering if you have any special dietary requirements. At all events, we will always have both Halal and vegetarian options available. All hotel bookings must be made through RCSI Travel in order to avail of the discounted hotel rates.
No. Unfortunately, we do not have any student accommodation available.
You can register your attendance online here. The first page will ask for your contact details and for a short biography of no more than 250 words. The second page lists all the Alumni Gathering events; simply choose the events you wish to attend.
The third and final page requests your payment information – payment can be made by credit card or Visa, but we cannot accept payment by American Express. As soon as you have inputted your payment information, please press the 'OK' button just once. Within a few seconds, a confirmation page will appear and you will also receive a confirmation email.
If you can no longer attend all or part of the Alumni Gathering 2022, please email email@example.com requesting a refund. Refunds can take up to 14 working days to process.
- Please note: Should graduates cancel before 22 April 2022, a full refund will be issued. Refunds after this point are at the discretion of RCSI.
