Become an external member of RCSI
External members of RCSI's board/committees provide an independent, external perspective and infuse RCSI with fresh, new thinking on all aspects of activities.
As an external member, you are not required to have a healthcare background, however you should be able to demonstrate how your skills and experience can bring value to RCSI.

The significant activities of these boards and committees are reported to RCSI Council on a regular basis.
How to apply
External members are committed to pro-actively contributing to and working with RCSI to advance medical education and healthcare in Ireland and internationally.
If you would like to apply to be an external member of an RCSI board/committee, please forward a short (one side of A4) expression of interest statement, highlighting how you would be able to contribute to the Office of the Chief Executive by close of business on Friday, 20 November 2020.
