Anne Hennessy

Dr Anne Hennessy is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.

After RCSI, and following her internship in Beaumont Hospital, Dr Hennessy commenced her anaesthesia training on the Eastern Regional Anaesthetic Training Scheme. Having obtained her fellowship of the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland, she completed all her training in Dublin and shortly thereafter was appointed to a consultant post in Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan.

In 2006 she moved back to Beaumont Hospital and continues to work there as a Consultant Anaesthetist. She is regularly involved in the teaching of Undergraduate students from RCSI as well as College of Anaesthesiology trainees.

In 2012, Dr Hennessy was elected to the council of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland. She chaired the examinations committee of the college from 2014-2018, was Vice-President of the college from 2016-2018 and is currently serving as the honorary secretary of the council. Dr Hennessy has travelled widely for the College, conducting annual membership examinations in Oman and Malaysia.  

Dr Hennessy married fellow RCSI graduate Dr Stan Natin, Class of 1992, and they have three children Thomas, Kate and Alexandra.
