Lars Nölke

Mr Lars Nölke is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon at our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, Dublin and Head of Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Heart and Lung Transplantation at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Dublin.

Mr Nölke also currently serves as the Clinical Director of the Extra-Corporeal Life Support Programme in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and is Deputy RP at Organ Donation Transplantation Ireland (ODTI).

Mr Nölke grew up in Killarney, Co. Kerry where he went to secondary school in St Brendan’s College.  Following RCSI, he completed basic surgical training and subsequently higher surgical training in cardiothoracic surgery in Ireland in 2003.

He then worked as Visiting Assistant Professor at UCSF Children’s Hospital in San Francisco between 2003-2005, where he also participated in the heart and lung transplantation programme, before being appointed as consultant cardiothoracic and transplantation surgeon at the MMUH and OLCHC in 2005.
