On 16-18 February, surgeons and nurses from Italy, France, Denmark, South Africa, England, Holland and Ireland attended Module 1 of the European Clinical Leadership Development Programme for Surgeons and Nurses at the RCSI Institute of Leadership.

The programme, which was officially opened by President of RCSI, Prof. John Hyland, consists of three, three-day modules where participants learn about leadership, emotional intelligence, quality systems, team development, and finance, developing a business case, critical thinking, and risk management.

By the end of the programme participants will have completed a change project in their place of work. This programme has been made possible by a generous training grant from Acelity.
