Olivia Lennon

Coming from a biomedical science background, I was interested in how data and technology are shaping modern medicine. The MSc in Technologies and Analytics in Precision Medicine programme offered exposure to bioinformatics, biostatistics and the clinical applications of precision medicine. I was drawn to the opportunity to develop computational skills that could be applied to real biomedical research and healthcare challenges.

I am currently working as a graduate statistical programmer at Grifols in Dublin. In my role, I work within clinical research programming, helping to prepare and validate datasets used in clinical trials. This involves developing analysis for datasets and performing quality control checks to ensure the data used for regulatory submissions is accurate and reliable.

I see myself continuing to work in clinical research and biostatistics, contributing to the analysis of clinical trial data and supporting the development of new therapies. My studies at RCSI provided a strong foundation in bioinformatics, biostatistics and computational analysis, which are all highly relevant to this field.
