RCSI hosts Bahraini art exhibition

Dermot Desmond, Honorary Fellow of RCSI, officially opened a Bahraini art exhibition this evening hosted by the RCSI in association with the Bahrain Arts Society.

The exhibition of traditional and contemporary Bahraini art will run from 12-16 November.

This event will attract a variety of top Bahraini artists including Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Abdulrahim Sharif who has won the Award of Al Dana in National Art Competition Bahrain, Jamal Abdulrahim, Lubna Amin,  Balquees and Abbas AlMousawi, whose many awards include first prize (Delmon Award) in the Ministry's Annual Exhibition.

The exhibition will be open to the public on 12-13 November from 12pm-6pm and 14-16 November from 10am-7pm.

RCSI holds a long association with Bahrain through its graduates and the recent establishment of RCSI-Medical University of Bahrain. The College will also hold its 9th overseas meeting there in March 2006.
