RCSI Bahrain and Ministry of Health sign a Cooperation Agreement

On 2 October, RCSI Bahrain was delighted to welcome Her Excellency Dr Jaleela bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, and Dr Lulwa Rashid AlShowaiter, Primary Healthcare Centres Acting Chief Executive Officer, for the signing of a cooperation agreement between RCSI Bahrain and Primary Healthcare Centres.

As part of this cooperation, RCSI Bahrain will provide Primary Healthcare Centres with support in diagnostic and therapeutic services, as well as other support services including laboratories and library, and the Primary Healthcare Centres will open their facilities to RCSI Bahrain’s medical faculty Professors for education, training and scientific research.

Primary Healthcare Centres Acting Chief Executive Officer, Dr Lulwa Rashid AlShowaiter, said the agreement would bolster cooperation with RCSI Bahrain, a pioneering academic institution in the Arabian Gulf Region. Dr Showaiter praised RCSI Bahrain’s efforts to support the staff working in the primary healthcare sector, stressing her commitment to enhancing the standard of services.  

President of RCSI Bahrain, Professor Sameer Otoom, emphasised that the strong partnership with the Primary Healthcare Centres aims to achieve common goals, support services and keep abreast of future medical studies and clinical research.
