RCSI Medical University of Bahrain Commends Academic Collaboration in Nursing with King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences in Islamabad

The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) – Medical University of Bahrain has expressed its pride in contributing to academic collaboration in the field of nursing with King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences in Islamabad, Pakistan.

This pioneering institution embodies the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in advancing education and healthcare and in promoting humanitarian cooperation at both regional and international levels.

RCSI Medical University of Bahrain affirms that this collaboration reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to developing the nursing profession in line with the highest international standards. The support provided to the College of Nursing programme at King Hamad University in Pakistan is consistent with the nursing curriculum at RCSI Bahrain, which is based on a European model.

Since its establishment in 2006, the School of Nursing has built extensive expertise and has contributed to preparing highly qualified nursing professionals capable of meeting the needs of modern healthcare systems. Efforts to enhance the quality of the programme are also reinforced through academic reviews conducted by the Higher Education Council and the Education and Training Quality Authority in Bahrain.

This project represents an extension of the distinguished standing achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of medical education and highlights the significant progress witnessed in the nursing sector. Nursing in Bahrain has become a model of excellence in both educational quality and the preparation of national talent, establishing Bahrain as a leading centre for medical education and scientific research in the health sciences.

On this occasion, RCSI Bahrain congratulates all parties on this milestone achievement and extends its sincere gratitude to His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, and to Brigadier General Dr Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services, for their support and for providing this valuable opportunity.
