RCSI Medical University of Bahrain Strengthens Partnership with Tamkeen and Private Hospitals to Advance National Healthcare
The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) - Medical University of Bahrain reaffirmed its strategic partnerships with senior representatives from Bahrain’s Labour Fund ‘Tamkeen’, the Bahrain Medical Society and leading private hospitals across the Kingdom, underscoring a shared commitment to strengthening clinical education, enhancing graduate readiness, and supporting Bahrain’s healthcare workforce needs.
The meeting reviewed progress on the Tamkeen–Private Hospitals nursing education initiative, developments in undergraduate clinical training, including forthcoming specialised nursing programmes. Discussions also explored the expansion of internship training opportunities through the collaboration between King Hamad–American Mission Hospital and the Government Hospitals, in addition to the support provided to the Arab Board residency training programmes in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The meeting further highlighted the University’s international community engagement initiatives, the rollout of new courses to enhance students’ job preparedness, and the latest data on alumni career pathways.

We extend our thanks to the Arab Board members for their attendance and collaboration; through our joint efforts across training, internships and professional development, we strive for future doctors and nurses to deliver high-quality patient care and healthcare, as well as to support the Kingdom’s healthcare needs.”
