RCSI Institute of Global Surgery launch

  • Date: 12 March 2021
  • Time: 15:00 - 17:00
  • Category: General events,  Surgical
  • Location: Online

At a webinar to mark the official launch of the RCSI Institute of Global Surgery, experts in the field of global surgery working to bring better quality surgical care to patients will share their experiences of providing patient-centred care for the benefit of patients and communities across the globe.

Building on extensive experience in surgical training, education and research partnerships in Africa, the RCSI Institute of Global Surgery works with local partners to develop sustainable surgical care systems in low and middle-income countries.

The Institute has a dual focus: capacity-building to alleviate the surgical burden; and high-impact research to set the foundation for greater growth.

Rooted in equity, and in collaboration with its partners, the RCSI Institute of Global Surgery creates patient-centred, outcome-based, global surgery research and education.
