Over 350 medical students at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences received their final year results in a live reading today, Thursday, 15 May.

In keeping with a long-standing RCSI tradition, the final year medicine results were read aloud from the stairs at the RCSI St Stephen’s Green campus.

Students attended both in person and via livestream to receive their results and celebrate with fellow classmates. After years of hard work, the Class of 2025 can finally make the leap from student to doctor.

Professor Arnold Hill, Dean of Medical Programmes at RCSI and Professor Gerry McElvaney, Head of the RCSI School of Medicine, addressed the students, before the official reading of the results was carried out by Kenny Franks from the Student, Academic and Regulatory Affairs team.

Professor Cathal Kelly, Vice Chancellor of RCSI, remarked: “It is with great pride that I offer my congratulations to the Class of 2025 on this memorable occasion. Their unwavering dedication and commitment to their studies has finally, and deservedly, come to fruition.

“II remind them that what they have achieved today is truly exceptional. I am confident that the skills they have developed at RCSI will serve them well as they begin their journey as doctors, and I wish each of them the best of luck.”

The results reading marks the first occasion in a series of celebratory events as the medicine class of 2025 concludes their studies at RCSI. The celebrations will culminate with the School of Medicine Conferring Ceremony on Monday, 2 June.
