European Conference on Positive Psychology opens in Dublin
The 12th European Conference on Positive Psychology (ECPP 2026) opened today at The Convention Centre Dublin. Hosted by the RCSI Centre for Positive Health Sciences, the international conference runs from 1–4 July and brings together approximately 900 researchers, practitioners and professionals from around the world to explore advances in the science and application of positive psychology.
The conference theme – Body Meets Mind: Positive Psychology and Health for Everyone – highlights the connection between psychological well-being, physical health and lifestyle medicine.
Speakers and delegates will share their insights and perspectives on evidence-based approaches to improving people’s lives and supporting global well-being.
Opening the conference, Professor Elaine Byrne, Director of the Centre for Positive Health Sciences at RCSI, said: “ECPP 2026 provides a unique platform for researchers and practitioners from across the globe to come together to share knowledge and advance the science of positive psychology.
“By focusing on the connection between mind and body, this conference highlights the critical role of interdisciplinary, evidence-based approaches in promoting health and well-being for individuals, organisations and communities.”
The conference programme includes a wide range of sessions exploring areas such as positive education, workplace well-being, positive health, digital innovation and the well-being arts, reflecting the broad and interdisciplinary nature of the field. It also aims to address major global challenges, including chronic disease and societal well-being, through the lens of positive psychology.
With delegates spanning disciplines including healthcare, education, research and workplace well-being, the event provides an important forum for collaboration and knowledge exchange aimed at helping people not only to improve their well-being, but to thrive and flourish across all aspects of life.
