A senior executive delegation from Saudi German Health (SGH) UAE visited RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences St Stephen’s Green campus in Dublin last week, marking the milestone completion of a bespoke executive leadership programme developed by RCSI Online and the RCSI Graduate School of Healthcare Management for SGH executive delegates.

The three-day visit concluded with a graduation ceremony where delegates were presented with completion certificates from RCSI Vice President, Mr David Moore.

RCSI Vice President Mr David Moore offered his congratulations to participants on completing the programme alongside significant senior leadership responsibilities. “RCSI greatly values SGH as a strategic international partner, and this programme is a strong example of what can be achieved when two organisations work together around a shared commitment to healthcare excellence and leadership development.

“Stronger leaders create stronger teams and organisations and, ultimately, contribute to better healthcare and better outcomes for patients. This is particularly important at a time of rapid transformation across healthcare.”

The programme was developed and delivered through RCSI’s Graduate School of Healthcare Management, drawing on its expertise in healthcare leadership, management and executive development. Led by Tina Joyce and Caroline O’Regan, the content was designed in partnership with SGH to ensure it responded directly to the organisation’s leadership priorities and ambitions for growth.

Commenting on the impact of the programme, Sara McDonnell, Executive Director, RCSI Online said: “We are always looking for new ways to extend RCSI’s reach, creating greater access to our education and expertise for learners in Ireland and internationally. This partnership has responded directly to the needs of the SGH executive team, supporting them to navigate complex health systems and delivering the programme in the way that worked best for them, whether online, blended or in person.”

Structured around residential intensives and monthly virtual masterclasses, the curriculum focused heavily on leading transformational change, high-performance leadership teams and collaboration, system thinking and strategic alignment, executive coaching, and building unified cultures.

Reflecting on the value of the programme for SGH, Dr Ahmed Eissa, CEO of Saudi German Health, UAE, explained: “Our strategic partnership with RCSI has been pivotal in equipping our executive team with cutting-edge leadership methodologies and systems thinking. Bringing our senior leadership to Dublin for the final module and graduation ceremony has further solidified our shared vision. The programme is supporting us in forming a high-performing leadership team that elevates patient outcomes across Saudi German Health in the UAE.”

The ongoing collaboration is managed by RCSI Online, which maintains an expanding network of global institutional partnerships with healthcare employer organisations focused on online postgraduate programmes as well as blended executive development.
