Breast Cancer and Reconstruction


Suitable for: Registrars in breast, plastic and general surgery

This new course concentrates on the initial decision-making and planning for breast lump excision, as well as reconstructive options. The emphasis will be on successfuly performing an oncoplastic mastectomy and axillary clearance. Scar placement and skin sparing mastectomy will be discussed in conjunction with breast aesthetics. Finally, implant options, pedicled and free-flap reconstruction options will be explored.
