Casting Workshop

Summary

The primary aim of this course is to teach correct cast application and removal, caring for the casted limb and preventing associated complications. Each attendee will demonstrate the satisfactory application of a number of named casts under supervision. There will be clinical scenarios built into the day with discussions on the correct selection of casts for upper and lower limb fractures and ligament injuries. 

Note: Participants will need to wear scrubs/shorts to enable upper and lower limb casting for this course.
