Entry requirements

Important notice

This dual degree programme is only available to students registered on the BSc (Pharm.) programme at Soochow University, Suzhou in China.

To be eligible for consideration for a place on the International Clinical Pharmacy dual degree programme, you must:

  • Supply BSc (Pharm) academic transcripts for the first two years of the programme showing a minimum pass grade in compulsory modules – this includes passing the RCSI modules delivered during the first two years of the programme at Soochow University.
  • Meet the required International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) standards (obtained within a period of 12 months prior to application for progression to the International Clinical Pharmacy component of the programme, delivered at RCSI). The IELTS or TOEFL requirements are outlined in more detail below:

IELTS Minimum overall score of 6.5 (and no individual band less than 6.0)
  • Overall score - minimum 85
  • Reading – minimum 20
  • Writing – minimum 24
  • Listening – minimum 20
  • Speaking – minimum 20
  • A clean academic record during the first two years of the programme at Soochow University (i.e. no disciplinary or professional misconduct issues), and 
  • Satisfactorily complete an admissions interview.
