Summary

This one-day course focuses on the principles and practical application of trauma-informed care, enabling healthcare professionals to recognise the impact of trauma and deliver safe, compassionate and patient-centred care.

A combination of focused theory, interactive discussions and high-fidelity simulation will be used to develop your skills in applying trauma-informed principles to real-world clinical practice.

Realistic scenarios based on presentations encountered in emergency departments and hospitals across Ireland, together with structured debriefing and facilitated feedback, will provide participants with practical strategies to improve communication, minimise re-traumatisation and enhance patient outcomes across a wide range of healthcare setting.
