Strengthening Community Impact through Annual Blood Donation Drive
RCSI Medical University of Bahrain hosted its annual Blood Donation Drive on 9 February, at the Simulation Lab, in partnership with the Central Blood Bank at Salmaniya Medical Complex and in collaboration with the University’s Anatomy and Internal Medicine Societies.
The initiative brought together staff and students in a collective effort to support the national blood supply and contribute meaningfully to patient care across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The event witnessed an encouraging response from both staff and students, with a total of 43 participants each donating 500 millilitres of blood to support the vital work of the Central Blood Bank. The collective contribution represents a significant addition to national blood reserves and will play an important role in supporting patients in need across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The University extends its sincere appreciation to all donors for their generosity and for contributing to this life-saving cause. Special thanks are also conveyed to the student societies and volunteers whose dedication and organisation were instrumental in ensuring the smooth delivery of the event.
RCSI Medical University of Bahrain remains dedicated to advancing public health initiatives and fostering a strong culture of social responsibility, and looks forward to welcoming even greater participation in the next academic year.
