Three conferring ceremonies will take place on Monday, 24 November 2025 in the Convention Centre Dublin (CCD). Please find below the breakdown for each ceremony.

Graduations are a highlight in the RCSI calendar. It is a special and proud occasion for us to celebrate with you and your families and friends.

Online registration

Online registration will open in September and the link to register will be shared with all graduands at that time via their programme coordinators. It is mandatory for all graduands to complete the online registration form to advise the conferring team if they plan to attend the ceremony in-person, or instead wish to be conferred 'in absentia'. 

Academic dress hire 

All graduates must pre-book robes with the official robe-makers, Phelan Conan Limited. Robes may be pre-booked online at phelanconan.com. The pre-paid hire fee is €45 or pay on the day hire fee is €50. The deadline for booking online is midnight on Monday, 17 November.

Due to the implementation of a personal 3D secure password during the credit card payment process online, Phelan Conan Ltd staff are no longer able to take bookings over the phone. This has been created to protect your online payments and if you don’t already have a 3D secure password you can activate it by following the simple instructions during the booking process. If you experience any further problems with 3D secure process, please contact your bank. Cash will not be accepted on the day.

Please note: All gowns must be returned to Phelan Conan as soon as possible after the conclusion of the ceremony.

Pre-gown collection

Robes can be collected from outside the Desmond Auditorium, RCSI 26 York Street, Dublin 2 on Friday, 21 November between 4pm and 8pm. If you are unable to pre-collect your robe, you may collect your robe on your arrival at the Convention Centre Dublin on Monday, 24 November at the times outlined below. 

Please note: Robe collection for those that have not already pre-collected their robes, will take place in the Forum, Ground Floor, The CCD for each ceremony at the times indicated below:  

Ceremony III - Postgraduate Academic Awards Degree of Masters of Science (MSc) – Robes can be collected from 08.15 

Ceremony IV - Degree of Masters of Science (MSc) – Robes can be collected from 11.30

Ceremony V - Professional Certificate & Postgraduate Diploma (SN&M) – Robes can be collected from 15.00

Due to several ceremonies taking place on this date, robes cannot be collected in advance of your allocated time on the day.

Photography 

Lafayette Photographers will be located on site throughout the Conferrings to take professional individual and family portraits. Please visit their website lafayette.ie to pre-book now. Pre-booking is highly recommended for your photography session.   

Registration on the day 

• Graduands are invited to register two hours prior to their conferring ceremony.  
• At registration, graduands will be provided with their parchment and scroll holder along with their conferring booklet and seat number allocation and guest tickets. The assigned seat number signifies the order in which you will be called to the stage.  
• It is important that all candidates register and collect their booklet and parchment when they arrive at the Convention Centre.  
• Graduands and guests are asked to take their seats no later than 45 minutes prior to the ceremony commencing.    

Guest tickets 

• Each attending graduand will automatically receive two complimentary guest tickets. 
• A graduand does not require a ticket. 
• Guest seating is unreserved in the auditorium. 

Additional guest tickets

Graduands will have the opportunity to purchase an additional guest ticket when completing their online registration form. Additional tickets are limited and only available on a first come first served basis.

Each additional ticket will cost €25, and a maximum of one additional ticket per graduand will be available, only while stocks last.  

Please note: Due to the number of candidates expected to attend Ceremony V, we are not currently in a position of offer any additional guest tickets for purchase. However, should the number of candidates expected to attend in-person drop, we will make any additional guest tickets available for purchase for this ceremony.

Children over the age of two will require a ticket to attend the conferring ceremony and will need to be factored into your two guest ticket allocation. Any child attending the ceremony must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There is not an option for children to sit with Graduands.

Please be advised that there are three RCSI Conferring ceremonies taking place in the Convention Centre Dublin on this date. In order to comply with The CCD's health and safety protocol, numbers permitted in the auditorium and post-ceremony reception areas are restricted. This is due to the overlap of guests in the building at any one time.  

Live stream  

A live stream of the conferring ceremony will be available for friends and family to watch around the world. The stream will be available via the RCSI Dublin homepage. 

Parking facilities, The CCD

Please allow ample time for travel and arrival. The carpark at the CCD is used by lots of other businesses in the vicinity and therefore parking on the day is not guaranteed. To view the parking facilities in the CCD and additional car parking facilities in the surrounding area, please here. 

Important notice 

All students due to graduate should be aware that the conferring ceremony is regarded as a public occasion. The ceremonies are recorded and broadcast on the internet (via the RCSI website) but they may also appear on other websites on the internet. Graduands and guests seated in the conferring auditorium should be aware that they may appear on this live stream and recording. By participating in graduation, graduands and guests are deemed to have consented to be party to these practices. Graduands who do not consent to these practices should not attend and opt instead to be conferred in absentia. Guests who do not consent to these practices should also not attend and may opt to watch the ceremony via live stream.

RCSI’s official photographers and staff will be situated around the conferring venue taking photographs and video footage of the celebrations, which may be featured in future publications on social media channels and the RCSI website. Graduands and guests who do not wish their image to be used for such a purpose should inform the photographer, or staff member on the day.
