The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD)

The School of Medicine Conferring will take place in The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD), Spencer Dock, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, D01 T1W6. Please visit the 'getting here' webpage for information on public transport and parking facilities.

Academic dress

All graduates must pre-book robes with the official robe-makers, Phelan Conan Limited. Robes may be pre-booked online. The pre-paid hire fee is €45 or pay on the day hire fee is €50.

Due to the implementation of a personal 3D secure password during the credit card payment process online, Phelan Conan Ltd staff are no longer able to take bookings over the phone. This has been created to protect your online payments and if you don’t already have a 3D secure password you can activate it by following the simple instructions during the booking process. If you experience any further problems with 3D secure process, please contact your bank.

Robes can be collected on Wednesday, 3 June between 10am-2pm in RCSI, Level -1, outside the Desmond Auditorium, 26 York Street OR on the day of conferring between 8.45 - 10.15am in the Liffey.

It is strongly advised to collect on 3 June to ensure there are no delays on the day of conferring.

Cash will not be accepted. All gowns must be returned to Phelan Conan as soon as possible after the conclusion of the ceremony.

Photography

Lafayette Photographers will be located on site throughout the School of Medicine Conferring's to take professional individual and family portraits. Please visit their website lafayette.ie to pre-book. Pre-booking is highly recommended for your photography session.

Please note: the online booking facilities for Phelan Conan and Lafayette will open in the coming months.

Order of proceedings

Graduands are invited to register two hours prior to their conferring ceremony.

At registration, graduands will be provided with a seat number which signifies the order in which they will be called to the platform.

Graduands and guests are asked to take their seats no later than 45 minutes prior to the ceremony commences.

Guest tickets

Each graduand will receive three guest tickets.

If capacity permits, graduands will be permitted to request additional ticket(s) when registering for the conferring in April 2026. Extra tickets will be allocated to those on the waiting list, subject to availability, once all graduands have completed registration. Please note, confirmation may not be available on extra ticket requests until the week prior to the event.

Live stream

A live stream of the conferring ceremony will be available on the RCSI website for friends and family to watch around the world. The stream will be available on this page and will begin at 11.00am (Irish Standard Time).

 

Conferring Dinner

The School of Medicine Conferring Dinner will take place on Wednesday, 3 June 2026 at 7pm in the The Round Room at The Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, D02 XK40. This event is for the graduating class and RCSI faculty and staff. The dress code is black tie.
