Continuous Professional Development Support Scheme
Once you successfully complete the Basic Surgical Principles and Practice programme will be automatically eligible to the Intermediate Surgical Principles and Practice and will be given preference upon application. This programme is aimed at experienced SHOs (two years' experience) and junior Registrars.
As an NCHD outside the formal training scheme, I found this programme to be exceptionally beneficial. The virtual ward rounds and case discussions integrated into the curriculum are standout features.
