Recent Advances and Hot Topics in Colorectal Surgery


This advanced colorectal course is facilitated by experts with experience of recent advances in coloproctology and colorectal surgery.

There has been a development in laparoscopic and more recently robotic-assisted colorectal cancer and benign surgery, pelvic floor surgery, new treatments and surgery in inflammatory bowel disease and treatment of anorectal benign conditions. In this course, we aim to highlight the recent advances, discuss diagnosis, treatment and management of some of these conditions to include some surgical techniques. We will discuss open and minimally invasive surgical approaches and their impact on patient outcome.
