With the greater understanding of the importance of personalised medicine, population health and clinical accountability in modern medicine, the RCSI School of Medicine supports student development of critical thinking and analytical skills. These attributes are necessary for our students to be able to evaluate new biomedical and clinical research and assimilate these into their future clinical practice.
All of our academic and clinical departments provide research opportunities for students throughout their studies at RCSI, and this is a crucial component of our curriculum.
Through these research opportunities, students learn directly from internationally-recognised researchers and work side by side with scientists and clinicians who are leaders in their field of practice and research.
