Do you want to become a patient-focused pharmacist and an expert in medicines and their safe and effective use across the healthcare system? If so, RCSI’s innovative five-year MPharm degree is the programme for you.
Pharmacists in Ireland can now prescribe for a range of common conditions, setting the profession on an exciting path towards expanded roles. RCSI’s Pharmacy programme has always been future-focused and prepares students for these advanced roles, with elements of prescribing already incorporated into the curriculum. This ensures RCSI graduates are future ready pharmacists, fully prepared for the evolving pharmacy landscape.
RCSI will host a Pharmacy-specific, in-person Open Day on Saturday, 17 October 2026 from 12pm to 3pm for September 2027 CAO applications.

Senior Pharmacy lecturers and current students will provide an overview of the future ready Pharmacy degree, outline admission requirements, showcase RCSI’s world-class facilities, discuss student life and highlight the career supports available.
