Information for investigators
The RCSI Clinical Research Centre (RCSI CRC) provides physician investigators with a unique facility and a comprehensive range of support systems for clinical research with the capability to conduct research in all therapeutic areas. The centre provides examination rooms, inpatient and outpatient beds, procedure rooms and ancillary services required for the delivery of world-class, patient-focused research.
Key areas of support to the physician investigators include a management structure to oversee and perform clinical trials and provide assistance in regulatory compliance. The research nurse team has extensive experience in working with ethical and regulatory requirements and is optimally positioned to deal with the flexibility required to respond to the rapidly changing demands of a dynamic research environment.

- Study feasibility and start-up
- Budgeting and contract management
- Provision of clinical research nurse resources
- Desk space for researchers
- Consulting rooms for patient visits
- Refrigerated and ambient temperature-controlled drug storage areas
- Sample processing and storage facilities
- Clinical trial equipment, supplies and document storage during the course of the trial
- A close working relationship with RCSI Clinical Trial Sponsor Office for the sponsorship of investigator-led research
