Community Impact and Philanthropy Award
To be offered to a graduate who has demonstrated excellence in community engagement initiatives (at RCSI Medical University of Bahrain and externally) and is dedicated to serving the wider community through awareness, volunteerism, and philanthropy.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria:
- The candidate must have completed a MB BCH BAO, BSc Nursing or MSc Nursing from RCSI Medical University of Bahrain.
- The candidate must be in good standing with the University.
- It is preferred that the candidate have a record of community impact and engagement before graduation – either through RCSI Bahrain or externally (e.g. DMU, FNB, volunteerism, ICE trip, Sahabt Amal, NomuHub, or similarly).
- List of awards demonstrating excellence in community engagement, service and/or volunteerism must be provided (if applicable).
- Overview of philanthropic activities and involvement.

Medical doctor and health advocate currently training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the Federal Medical Centre in Abuja, Nigeria, where she serves as a Senior Registrar. Dr. Almustapha graduated with a First Class medical degree from RCSI Medical University of Bahrain and combines clinical medicine with public health education and community engagement. She is also active in health communication through digital platforms and serves in a public relations role for the Association of Resident Doctors. Her contributions to healthcare awareness have earned her recognition including a Community Service Award and Best Medical Content Creator award, alongside recognition as Best Resident in Internal Medicine.
Registered Nurse specialising in oncology, palliative care and pain management at the Bahrain Oncology Center. Maha graduated from RCSI Medical University of Bahrain with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Midwifery and has extensive experience caring for oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration and treatment planning. She currently works in palliative and pain management, supporting patients and their families while also educating nursing staff and contributing to clinical policies and training programmes. Her commitment to compassionate clinical practice was recognised with the Rufaida Al-Aslami Award for Best Clinical Practice during her studies at RCSI Bahrain.
