How to apply

Medicine

Essential documentation required for application is as follows (incomplete applications will not be processed):

  • Secondary school transcripts/certificates (Grades 10, 11 and 12 to date if still in school, or final transcript with graduation certificate and certificate of good conduct).

  • University transcripts/certificates (if applicable).

  • English language qualification – e.g. IELTS/TOEFL certificate or test booking confirmation
  • Copy of passport, including photo page (must six months in date from commencement of programme ie. September)
  • Copy of CPR/GCC identity card (if applicable – this must also be six months in date from commencement of programme i.e. September)
  • Academic Reference Form/other references with predicted grades if applicable. The Academic Reference Form is available here and can be sent in separately by your referee (see form for full details)
  • Personal statement of between 500 and 1000 words. The purpose of the personal statement is to provide the Admissions Committee with an insight into you, your motivations and your suitability for a career in medicine. You should consider explaining the activities you have undertaken in preparing yourself for a career in medicine. Please note that your submissions should be your own work and not that of anyone else. If any plagiarism is detected in an applicant’s personal statement, the applicant will no longer be considered for admissions to the University

Medical Commencement Programme (MCP)

BSc (Hons) Nursing

Essential documentation required for consideration for the programme is as follows (incomplete applications cannot be considered):

  • Certified copies of all academic transcripts and certificates from school (Grades 10, 11 and 12 to date) and university (if applicable)

  • Copy of passport showing name, nationality, date of birth and photograph page (must be six months in date from commencement of programme i.e. September)

  • Copy of CPR card/GCC identity card (if applicable - this must also be six months in date from commencement of programme i.e. September)

Nursing (Hons) Bridging programme

The applicant must be currently working in a nursing field and will be reviewed by the programme director.

Essential documentation required for consideration for the programme is as follows (incomplete applications cannot be considered):

  • Certified copies of Associate Diploma academic transcripts and certificates

  • Certified copies of academic transcripts and graduation certificate from secondary school (Grades 10, 11 & 12)

  • Copy of passport showing name, nationality, date of birth and photograph page

  • A Copy of CPR card/GCC identity card (if applicable)
