Postgraduate Certificate in ENT Skills
As part of the ongoing implementation of the HSE's Model of Care for Otolaryngology, RCSI has launched a programme for postgraduate education and training in ENT for healthcare professionals working in primary care.
Beginning with a Postgraduate Certificate, commencing in September 2020, we aim to launch Postgraduate Diploma and Masters programmes in 2021.
Programme overview
The new Postgraduate Certificate in ENT Skills is a collaboration between the National Clinical Programme in Surgery (NCPS), the RCSI ENT Education programme in Primary Care and the RCSI School of Nursing & Midwifery.
The aim of the programme is to enhance the delivery of high-quality patient care in the primary care setting; enabling timely access for patients with more complex ENT conditions to hospital-based treatment.
Offered on a flexible, part-time basis, the programme comprises three modules looking at the management of patients suffering from aural disorders; nasal/paranasal disorders; and throat, neck and oral cavity disorders.
Successful applicants should have a relevant primary degree (Level 8) or recognised professional qualification, and 1-3 years relevant healthcare experience.
