European Surgical Association meets at RCSI

European Surgical Association Annual Meeting

The 14th European Surgical Association Annual Meeting was held at RCSI from 13-14 April.

Leading surgeons and scientists from Europe and worldwide attended the conference which is designed to provide comprehensive educational experiences in the fields of clinical surgery, experimental surgery and related sciences, surgical education and the socioeconomic aspects of surgical care.

Hosted by RCSI President, Professor Gerald O’Sullivan, attendees at the event included Professor Tom DeMeester; Department of Surgery, University of Southern California; Professor J. P. Arnaud; and Professor C Pelligrini.

The European Surgical Association was founded in 1993 and is one of the European's most prestigious surgical organisations. Its members include the continent’s most-prominent surgeons from leading academic medical institutions, many of whom are Chairs of the Departments of Surgery at these institutions.
