I put RCSI as number one on my CAO as it ticked all my boxes and is definitely the right fit for me. One of the biggest factors was the international community. With a lot of students coming from abroad, the idea of making friends from all over the world really excited me!

At RCSI, there’s such a good variety of assessment on the Medicine programme – MCQs, oral exams, clinical skills assessments, case-based learning – which keeps things interesting and gives you lots of chances to do well. I also love how clinical skills are introduced right from first year. It makes you feel like you’re part of the profession from day one.

My favourite subject so far has definitely been Anatomy. I’ve been amazed by how complex and intricate the human body really is. I love learning from the Surgeon Prosectors during our Anatomy Practicals, as they always share interesting stories from their careers along with excellent advice on how to succeed as a surgeon which is my dream career!
